AnDuc49 Posted May 9, 2019 Share #1 Posted May 9, 2019 This is not in my personal collection, but shared to me by my friend, the vet who brought back the helmet. This helmet was captured by the vet (3rd Platoon Leader for Bravo Co. 2/1 196th Inf. Brigade) when he surprised a NVA soldier on a trail in I Corp. The NVA soldier has carved his name in the interior and you can see that the vet also carved his name in when he captured it. In a photo of him in Vietnam, the helmet can be seen resting on his pack (note the two captured belts as well). The Ka-Bar is something which he carried with him during his tour in Vietnam Hope you like it as much as I do!
