Story Posted May 7, 2019 Share #1 Posted May 7, 2019 This surfaced during my last bout of spring cleaning. I understood it could hold Binoculars, M19 but in another thread someone mentioned M6 (WW2?) era binos. Looks way too Cold War era to me. Best part is this page from the M19 operator's manual. This is what happens when you let your recruiters get waivers for really really low ASVAB scores.
Story Posted May 7, 2019 Author Share #2 Posted May 7, 2019 Yeah, tail end of Vietnam - MIL-C-13459B, MILITARY SPECIFICATION: CASE, BINOCULAR, M62A1 AND M63A1 (01-SEP-1971)., This specification covers two models of plastic binocular cases. The cases are similar in configuration and are constructed of the same materials but differ in size http://everyspec.com/MIL-SPECS/MIL-SPECS-MIL-C/MIL-C-13459B_49531/
Rhscott Posted May 7, 2019 Share #3 Posted May 7, 2019 I remember these. The Steiner made ones that replaced them were way better.
