CS 156 for BC611 in a flea market !

Recommended Posts

Hello,
Here is my last find in a french flea market for the price of a cigarette pack. I'm happy, my BC611 too !
I've never seen one excepted in my documentation ! Do you know WW2 area pictures showing use of these ?
Thanks in advance.
Bertrand

The manual for the BC-611-F shows this as the case for carrying the unit when attached to a hand-held antennae and used as a radio direction finder. The myth that it is an airborne case for the handie-talkie is just that, a myth.

Hello,

Who's talking about airborne equipment ? not me.

I'm just asking for ww2 area pictures showing the case in use.

Thanks

Bertrand

Bertrand,

Never meant to imply you did, but others here on the Forum, in the past, have mis-identified it as a "jump case" for the BC-611, which it is not. As you apparently know, it is actually a component for the Homing Modification Kit MC-619, a directional antennae set, which included the BC-611 as one of its six components.

There are two posed photos of the set in the BC-611 manual (TM11-235, dated May1945), however, I've never seen a photo of it in actual field use.

Regards, Paul
