Unidentified US Army unit Pass In Review wearing shorts

Found this photo from the late 1950's or early 60's. I know shorts were issued at that time, but I'm glad they too them out of the supply system. Any ideas as to unit or location? insignia on liners is blurry when magnified, but looks like the symbol for an atom..cross elliptical circles in an X configuration.

With shorts that short it's likely to be the mid-to-late 1960s. I was wearing them that short then!

 

But they look better with knee-length socks ...
