Only problem is my house stinks of old military gear and I haven’t even gone through it all yet. I’ve got boxes of pants and shirts to go through still. Half the canvas on the tables, I don’t know what it is.

Ellis was also from WA, and was in the HQ 103rd Antitank, they were federalized as the 803rd TD:

Can you take some better shots of the black poncho? It looks like a span-am war one but would like to see it closer. Any markings on the inside of it? Or is it crispy hard?

Whatever it is, it’s only about 2 feet long. Maybe a remnant of something else.

Some repainted liners from the 142nd squadron. The paints flaking off unfortunately. 7470151a2c539c553c281a3e414d169b.jpg41c6cf1ecb5b59b562ad61692e3c561b.jpg

That is the insignia of the 142d Fighter Group, most likely from the 142d Fighter Group (Air Defense) or 142d Fighter-Interceptor Group era in the 50s-60s timeframe. They are a Oregon ANG unit out of Portland. Might have been used for honor guard duties.
