Gerber Numbered Pocket Knife - 50th Anniv. WWII

Recommended Posts

Anyone have or seen these? I got one (photo of the case front below) and it is a Gerber pocket knife in a plastic case. There is a card inside that is like a Gerber business card and is hand numbered with the number of the limited edition knife. The knife is in the box in a plastic holder that holds it half opened, so that you can see the blade. The blade say D-Day and something else, and the handle is an ivoryt-ype handle with an etching-style illustration of a B-26. In the plastic tray mounted below the knife is a small token/challenge coin that is for the 50th Anniv. commemorating those who served. Mine is from a vet.

Online I saw there was a knife like mine but for the Japanese Surrender.

Anyone know what designs were on these knives? Also, were they only given to vets? I'll see about getting a photo of my actual knife.
