I should have these in hand later this week but wanted to post this as I am looking for items I did not get i. After speaking to the auction house I missed the first three auctions of his stuff so I only got a small portion. Hoping a someone on here got a couple of the old lots with Photographs.

The Artist is Grant Powers New York Daily News Cartoonist and he served as a Combat Artist in WWI, WWII, Bikini Island Nuclear Testing and Operation Deepfreeze.

Looks like most if not all his artwork was auctioned off and a huge cache of photographs . I got a couple small lots of his IDs ,scrapbook and what looks like his Diary from Iwo Jima and some photos.

1st what I got , it was a couple different lots,

  • 2 weeks later...

The stuff came in and somehow was not stolen after sitting at my new address for a week on the porch. The Diary was what I hoped it would be, covers his time on the ship and all the way through till when he left Iwo. Lots of detail and drawings. I can post more if anyone is interested
