These were in a display case at the George C. Marshall museum in Lexington, VA. Not sure what their purpose is or how they were worn (if at all), but I thought they were pretty interesting:

I would guess for the shoulder straps of a leather jacket, like an A-2, with the eagle facing forward on both sides. Pretty cool items!
