New flea mart DUI Religious cross and flags

OK, so I got this for not much at the local flea mart this morn. Enamel front, screw back, with a small Meyers crest. Has every look of an Army pre WW2 DUI, but the "theme" is throwing me off. Tall religious looking cross, bible? and red/white/blue themed colors.

 

Is it a military DUI? Please help ID

The Dominican Republic used the same crest for their navy rates

I wouldnt be surprised if this was for their army ? Maybe 30s period given that its screwback

I know meyers makes a lot of insignia for many oganization (forgein and domestic), but possible religious as well?!? HUH! Kind of dissappointed.

I doubt religious, the two flags are both for the Dominican Republic
