WWIIBuff1945 Posted April 13, 2019 Share #1 Posted April 13, 2019 Grabbed this nice Model 1913 Sauer & Sohn off Gunbroker. It was brought back by CPL Michael R. Zrelak who was possibly a member of the 287th Combat Engineers who fought in the E.T.O.. My friend Matt will hopefully come through with some info on the vet. Its a pretty cool WWI gun and holster. Funny thing, I was holding the same model in my hand at last weekends gun show and then one popped up for sale yesterday. Thanks for checking out my thread! MWalsh Posted April 16, 2019 Share #7 Posted April 16, 2019 Nice pistol set. The Crown N proof above the right side trigger guard is from WW1 German government issue or manufacture, so your pistol is probably a veteran of two World Wars.

I trying to find out more about the pistol. Really curious about date of manufacture.
MWalsh Posted April 17, 2019 Share #9 Posted April 17, 2019 PM me a couple close ups of the safety on it, I had found a website (can't remember which one offhand tho) which, if memory serves me right, noted a slight difference in the safety which went into effect in a certain year. I can try and find the sight in the meantime. That might help narrow it down. I'm sorry, I also am confusing my proof and acceptance marks. The Crown N should be Nitro proofed.
