digi-shots Posted April 6, 2019 Share #1 Posted April 6, 2019 Here are some new additions. I am hoping they are all good and WWII vintage. I am a bit confused as to what Type they are. Some people describe some as squiggle eye, amobea eye, bent beak etc. Not sure if they are all US made or not. I do know the first one is a greenback. Thanks for your comments! BILL THE PATCH Posted April 6, 2019 Share #6 Posted April 6, 2019 Very nice ww2 era patches. I'm not sure what "type" they are. Pretty sure there harder ones to find. Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk

razorback Posted April 6, 2019 Share #10 Posted April 6, 2019 I think that Mark Bando's website can help..I'm new in collecting patches, but what I've learned from the experts on the board, is that "greenback" patches are WW2 for sure. http://www.101airborneww2.com/eaglepatchcorner.html

digi-shots Posted April 6, 2019 Author Share #12 Posted April 6, 2019 I thought the fourth one was what was known as the most common, Type 1.
warcollect1942 Posted April 6, 2019 Share #13 Posted April 6, 2019 The greenback is Type 1. There are 3 greenbacks possible Type 1 type 6 and type 7. The difference between Type1 & TYPE 2 is hard to tell apart sometimes. I am leaning towards Type 2 on your fourth patch. Squiggle eye would be like a type 10. Allan H. Posted April 7, 2019 Share #14 Posted April 7, 2019 Fourth patch is absolutely WWII vintage. Either a Type 1 or 2. The difference is slight. Allan
digi-shots Posted April 7, 2019 Author Share #15 Posted April 7, 2019 Thanks, I appreciate it... it all came from the same veteran.
warcollect1942 Posted April 9, 2019 Share #16 Posted April 9, 2019 I was wrong. Your first patch is a type 7. You can tell by the attached tab.
