mes Posted April 2, 2019 Share #1 Posted April 2, 2019 This cover came in A group to a former paramarine James Gatton who Kia on Iwo Jima I had the group for a least 15 years and knew it belong to friend of his who was in A/1 with him finally research the name in I was stunned to learn he was awarded the DSC for actions on Bougainville DSCs awarded to ww2 marines are rare James Gatton himself was awarded the Silver star with the 26th marines when he was killed RIP marines pvt Gatton and Klein Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
