Lots of trench art and ordnance

Some stuff I picked up at local auction. I also picked up a ww2 captains uniform with a EOD patch on sleeve.him being in ordnance he probably collected this stuff. Not sure if it came in together if it did they split it up at auction.

The "church" is the Cathedral of the city of Reims. It was where French kings used to be crowned.

Your mortar round is interesting. NOT sure, but it may be a repurposed 75mm artillery round with fins added. The fins look to be from an Illum mortar round. It will require research. I have heard of 75mm artillery rounds being modified for mortar use, maybe yours is one? I have no details as WW1 is not my area.

Believe me it's not mine either. They weren't expensive I bought them to sell anyway. A couple of interesting pieces for sure. This is the ordnance captains uniform from same auction. This stuff I think was his, makes sense seeing he's a ord officer
