Help on unusual ribbons bars - National Guard?

Got these as part of a group: I looked at non-US sources, National Guard & State Militias and the only match was this one for Maryland State Guard Meritorious Unit Citation or Vermont Medal of Merit:

Was the family from Vermont before Chicago?

 

Vet assoc., fraternal, local military training?

 

They look turn of the last century.

I have one of those ribbons as well on a WW1 ribbon bar, or at least I believe it is WW1 bar based on the unapproved Inter-Allied Victory ribbon that is on the bar..

I have a feeling that some pre-WWII Guard ribbons can be pretty obscure, what with each state coming up with its own designs.

A couple more match up to the Oklahoma National Guard, but I imagine some other states could used the same style.

I have seen the green one (or more correctly, a green one since I suspect you are correct about them having many users) as a Wolf-Brown plastic coated type.
