I didn't know you could bring back full auto trophies.

Many got back.

Seen Mp40s several times in vets hands. One even registered his in 1968.

Then the Mp 44 and FG42..... was fun being a kid in the 70s

I bought my MP40 from a WWII vet whose brother brought it back from Europe. Matching numbers and beautiful. Yes Pa is full of vets and their spoils of war..

Up until 1968 it was quite common. How do you think most of the foreign transferables got here? The GCA of 1968 stopped that practice. Too many AK's and such being brought back from Vietnam.

Who was the vet who brought it home?

My Great uncle, he was an army officer in Europe, It was taken from a German. The Nazis loved these things, they put 9mm barrels in then and had a magazine adapter that went in the mag well so they could use MP40 mags. I have both the 9mm barrel and the adapter.

Love it!!!

I talked to a fellow that after the war his dad had a company that was local to where I live that broke up liberty ships and other vessels and the amount of firearms in the ballast area of the ship was amazing. His dad kept some of the nicer ones which they registered in 68'
