Should you find yourself at the Chicago O'Hare Airport, there is a display on Lieutenant Commander Edward Henry "Butch" O'Hare. According to Google, it is located in Terminal 2. They even have a Grumman Wildcat as part of the display.

In the downtown area there's the Pritzker Military Museum and Library. They have some Medal of Honors on display. Really worth a visit if you have the time.

If you travel into the north suburbs, you can find The Glen in Glenview. Its a shopping/housing development built on a former Naval Air Station. The center has a bunch of statues/plaques commemorating the sailors that were stationed there. One of the stores has a WWII era training aircraft suspended from the ceiling. A small museum, open on weekends, its located adjacent to the development. They have a moderate collection of memorabilia. Most of the volunteers are vets that served there.

Cantigny Park isn't too far either, though I have read that the exhibits have lost some quality since the renovations. It is the 1st I.D. Museum. Scott
