Vpep Posted March 11, 2019 Share #1 Posted March 11, 2019 Hello Everyone, I was rearranging some items in my collection to make some space for a new acquisition, so I thought I'd share this. I found this silver christening bottle for LST-359 in Pennsylvania about eight years ago. I located an original Coast Guard Photo of the ship a few years later. The 359 took part in the landings and operations at Salerno, Sicily, Anzio, and Normandy. It was sunk by U-870 in December of 1944.

manayunkman Posted March 12, 2019 Share #5 Posted March 12, 2019 I once had the bottle from the christening of a Liberty ship. It's on the forum somewhere and I'll see if I can find it.
