13.IN SUB PLAQUE! WW2?

13 inches long with studs on back to mount to wall or wood backing?? any one know what period this is from??

I have one like that mounted to an oval shaped piece of wood. It's solid and pretty heavy.

 

This is mine... for reference the wooden dolphins are about 30" long. I got both of these items from Goodwill.

As for period, I couldn't say. I know from experience that items like these have been made on or near bases for a long time. Sometimes one of the shops has a mold and can make the dolphins... then they end up mounted on a wooden plaque or a door.
