Leopold Posted February 22, 2019 Share #1 Posted February 22, 2019 Hi Recently found this M-1942 canteen, may be a GP&F or an unmarked VOLRATH one's with plastic cap. Bit this cap looks like the M-194 aluminium domed caps. Never seen it before. Any ideas? Thanks for help. Leo

Gregory Posted March 4, 2019 Share #6 Posted March 4, 2019 The cap is relatively rare, none the less it is nothing special. Two companies manufactured such caps during WWII. This is a variation of the M1942 Canteen Cap.

Gregory Posted March 4, 2019 Share #8 Posted March 4, 2019 It's my pleasure Domed caps were manufactured by two companies which stamped thier caps as follows: - G in circle (as your cap); - AP. Best regards Gregory
