Kadet Posted February 16, 2019 Share #1 Posted February 16, 2019 I got these two caps recently in a WWII 506th PIR estate group. He was an early paratrooper, and I know they wore caps similar to this in training...but not sure if that is what these are. They may pertain to another family member... Navybean Posted February 16, 2019 Share #2 Posted February 16, 2019 I do not believe those are military, I think they are toy caps made for kids
Flashlarue Posted February 16, 2019 Share #3 Posted February 16, 2019 Look like cold weather liners for construction workers helmets.
Kadet Posted February 16, 2019 Author Share #4 Posted February 16, 2019 Some diverse opinions LOL! You may both be right in them being non military though. The person I bought the group from grabbed everything that looked military. There are some gems but also stuff that doesn't pertain...
pararaftanr2 Posted February 16, 2019 Share #5 Posted February 16, 2019 Flashlarue is correct. These are not military. These are civilian cold weather liners for hard hats and / or welding helmets.
Kadet Posted February 16, 2019 Author Share #6 Posted February 16, 2019 Thanks! That actually makes sense. Following the war, he spent 50 years working for Great Lakes Carbon.
