The Rooster Posted February 10, 2019 Share #1 Posted February 10, 2019 Greetings, This is a picture of a train full of German POWS, taken in France in 1918. For them, the war is over. Notice some things here. The guards rifles are laying up against the train in reach of the POWS. To the extreme left we have some french soldiers talking. And an American Soldier walking past a French Guard saying something???. My Grandfather took this with a kodak Brownie. He served as a clerk on Pershings Staff. He lived pretty well over there at AEF Headquarters. Ive got his albums and steel pot. And his Kodak. Ive got a couple of photos that he took close (One close up) of General Pershing. Enjoy! JLN Posted February 14, 2019 Share #6 Posted February 14, 2019 What a great, sharp photo. Looks like the closer two rail cars have chalked on them "Lot 131".
