Greetings,

This is a picture of a train full of German POWS, taken in France in 1918.

For them, the war is over.

Notice some things here.

The guards rifles are laying up against the train in reach of the POWS.

To the extreme left we have some french soldiers talking.

And an American Soldier walking past a French Guard saying something???.

My Grandfather took this with a kodak Brownie.

He served as a clerk on Pershings Staff.

He lived pretty well over there at AEF Headquarters.

Ive got his albums and steel pot. And his Kodak.

Ive got a couple of photos that he took close (One close up)

of General Pershing.

Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing ! Very interesting!

Can you put more photos (as General Pershing) ?

Hello,

Here are the the two close ups. One really close. General Pershing is wearing his good conduct medal I believe.

I have all of my Grandfathers photos copyrighted so please ask permission for commercial use. Contact me here through Private message.
