UPNATM Posted December 17, 2008 Share #1 Posted December 17, 2008 So I found this on ebay. I can tell that it was not originally a medic pouch, but dont recognize it at all. Any ideas?
craig_pickrall Posted December 17, 2008 Share #2 Posted December 17, 2008 It is the aviation FA pouch. It was stuck on bulkheads, behind seats, etc. Just about anyplace that was accessable and had room available. 19delta-uav Posted December 18, 2008 Share #4 Posted December 18, 2008 Wow this is great, I hadn't seen one in its original configuation yet. I recently acquired the items of a USMC RAIDER and in the grouping was this pouch, but the pieces with the snaps on it had been cut off and belt loops were expertly sewn in place. His family has a picture of him with it strapped to his pistol belt, and they are currently in the process of finding it for me. I would post pictures of the modifications however I am currently stuck in FT. Dix getting ready to ship to Iraq.
ww2vault Posted December 18, 2008 Share #5 Posted December 18, 2008 Yep, Craig is correct. It is indeed a first aid kit for airplanes. I saw a 1970's to 1980's version of one once, I passed on it for some reason though. - Jeff
