36thIDAlex Posted February 5, 2019 Share #1 Posted February 5, 2019 Saw these two liners the other day and wasn’t sure if the decals might be original WWII. They look pretty well put on the liner and have worn with it. I have heard of the 36th using decals on their helmets and liners during the war and the paint/quality of these don’t seem to resemble other postwars I’ve seen. patches Posted February 7, 2019 Share #7 Posted February 7, 2019 These are 1950s -60s worn liners. Unit decal are the main characteristic. Paint jobs on liners in those days would vary from unit to unit, and in a lot of cases, individuals with in a unit. Here's another one from the Marked Helmet Liner topic, here the 143rd Infantry and with what might be a different variation of the T Patch decal (Or it might just be the camera angle and flash).
