Aloha Everyone,

Here's an interesting vehicle from my Pineapple Army photo archive.

55th Coast Artillery Corps, Battery C, Hawaiian Department Anti-Aircraft wagon circa mid-1920's

That's a pretty awesome looking wagon/photo. What's that mounted on the right side of the wagon? Thanks...

If you're asking about the gun, it's another water cooled .30 Browning mounted on an AA tripod which can be removed from the wagon. I've also got a photo of this tripod being used with a BAR mounted on it for AA target practice shooting at towed sleeves.

If you're asking about the tools, besides the hatchet, the large one is the famous Pulaski combination axe and adze tool invented by Forest Service Ranger Ed Pulaski in 1911 for fighting fires.

Evidently, it was the other gun that I wasn't sure of. Thanks.

Right you are, it's a pick mattock.

GREAT image! An "AA wagon" is an unusual vehicle.

Thank you so much for sharing.

A rare breed sighted today while going through my Pineapple Army photo archive.

No longer horse or mule drawn, now motorized (mechanized) and towed by a 5 ton Holt artillery tractor attached to one of the Hawaiian Division Artillery Regiments (8th FA, 11th FA or 13th FA).  My bet is the 8th Field Artillery, circa 1935 based upon the collection this came from.
