Mr.Jerry Posted January 27, 2019 Share #1 Posted January 27, 2019 Hello Gentlemen, Does this one look ok to you? I liked it, it is a little knackered, but I want to be sure. Thank you for your thoughts and assistance! Jerry
268th C.A. Posted January 27, 2019 Share #2 Posted January 27, 2019 It kind of reminds me of this reproduction. But I'm not an expert, but someone aged it with some dirt... lets hear others....yours could be good...comparing yours has more detail...
Bill K Posted January 29, 2019 Share #3 Posted January 29, 2019 If the star does not appear to be re-applied, then what you have is a real 1920's 2nd Battalion, 1st Infantry Regiment SSI. The Marines were gone from the Division by July of 1919. The colored patches were used up to about 1925. Bill
Allan H. Posted January 29, 2019 Share #4 Posted January 29, 2019 I do not think the patch is an original. The Indianhead that you have there is normally associated with a little later time period than immediate post WWI. I also do not like the yellow felt. It looks like more modern felt than WWI vintage material. Allan

MAW Posted January 29, 2019 Share #6 Posted January 29, 2019 I recommend that you adopt the overall theme of this song.
littlewilly Posted February 12, 2019 Share #7 Posted February 12, 2019 Jerry- I think I am with Allan on this one. And MAW has picked a good tune for it. MHJ
