KASTAUFFER Posted January 22, 2019 Share #1 Posted January 22, 2019 My Mother In Law was married twice and her 2nd husband brought this home as a souvenir. he served with the 55th Station Hospital in North Africa and Italy. The paperweight is Cavalry Regiment of Italy at Livorno. While in Italy during WWII , he captured a banner and this paperweight. The details of how he captured it and his trip to the leaning tower of Piza and attached. I have no idea of the true age or rarity of this item. What do you all think? Kurt !!!! WANTED !!!! That sounds like some of the rememberances that would be shared fondly at the unit reunion.
