phillock Posted January 19, 2019 Share #1 Posted January 19, 2019 Hi all Going thru my miscellaneous box and finally looked up this squadron patch! This is a cut edge computer generated probably Taiwanese made(?) modern era. Is there a way to ID this patch to a 62d fighter squadron aircraft/era used ? Example would it be used for: a) Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II Luke AFB Arizona (2017). b)General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon (1980–1993, 1994–2015). I found plenty of modern era computer generated coloured white background patch's and pilots wearing them. Also with not being Velcro, more F-16 1994-2015? Randy Posted January 20, 2019 Share #2 Posted January 20, 2019 Yes, I would say most likely 94-08 period as it looks like a woodland Camo style. Worn by support troops. Randy
phillock Posted January 20, 2019 Author Share #3 Posted January 20, 2019 Much appreciated Randy. I know absolutely nothing about USAF sqd's, its good to identify the patch and to which period and who wore it in my database. cheers Phill

Randy As a retired Crew Chief, I take offense at being called a "support troop." Remember that pilots also had BDU's. Rarely worn, but required. -Ski

But without getting into the specifics between all the variations of who wore what etc., I just went with that to make it easier. Makes the nonners feel better...
