irish Posted January 15, 2019 Share #1 Posted January 15, 2019 This sub badge was part of Submarine related collection I had purchased a few years back. This badge was given to attendees and dignitaries attending the Commissioning of the Submarine in the late 1980's. The badge is normal size and made from coal as a tip of the hat to one of Pennsylvania's main industries. An interesting piece. Pin to the reverse.

aznation Posted January 22, 2019 Share #5 Posted January 22, 2019 A very unique badge. I'll bet there's not too many out there as it's probably somewhat brittle. Specific areas of collecting and buying interest: WWI/WWII 40th (Sunshine) Division, Camp Kearny, Camp Harry Jones, WWI/WWII 158th Infantry, USS Oklahoma, Pearl Harbor Survivors Association, Mexican Border (1916), Norman Air Technical Training Center (NATTC) Norman, OK, Tinker Field or AFB, Submariner Items, Knives, Bayonets, Sweetheart Jewelry, other unique or odd items with interesting stories. Thank you for the additional information. The tag attached to mine had Pennsylvania, but Scranton would work too.
