I was watching this badge on ebay and it ended up selling for $578.00

A German screwback made by and marked L.CHR.Lauer, Nurnberg. (L. Christian Lauer)

As with many occupation badge makers, Lauer created badges for the Third Reich.

BILL THE PATCH

I was also watching this one, can't believe it went for that much. It's a beautiful CIB I'll say that.

As I hadn't seen one like this before I wasn't surprised it went for so much.

As said, beautiful badge. The detail on the back is impressive.

One day, maybe another will pop up.

What type metal is made from? Looks like rust on the back, so probably not sterling silver. Theres also no silver content mark as one typically sees on German pieces.

Here's the one in my collection. These are the only three I have come across so far, but I'm sure more are out there. Regardless, a very rare CIB.

Here are two badges that I believe were made by Lauer, but they are unmarked. If not made by Lauer, I think they were made on the same dies.
