bdale Posted January 10, 2019 Share #1 Posted January 10, 2019 Come to the Museum of the Waxhaws the weekend of February 16th and 17th and welcome Reenactors of the 82nd Airborne (C/505PIR) as they begin the process of transforming some of the grounds into a WW2 era garrison. Uniforms, Displays, Vehicles, Weapons, and a working Mess Kitchen, will all be on site. Expect to also see allied units from the 101st Airborne (Recon) as well as Axis units such as the 2nd SS and Fallschirmjager 15! C/505PIR and fellow units are some of the premier Living History groups in the Carolinas - Interact, touch, feel and experience unmatched authenticity as we strive to honor our heroes, and keep their memories alive. https://www.facebook.com/groups/C505thPIR/
268th C.A. Posted January 10, 2019 Share #2 Posted January 10, 2019 Waxhaw is a nice little town, worth a day trip if your close. I use to visit often when I lived in Charlotte. Did some Civil War stuff there too many moons ago. Hope the Week end is Good. there were a few good antique shops too.
