Gorgeous, I have a photo of the 43rd Co. 5th Marines in the same format probably taken the same day. Nice image. The 49th, George Hamiltions original company (John W. Thomason Jr.'s as well) was a very hard fought unit. The photo appears to depict a group smaller than company size. I believe some of these Antrim shots consisted of just the original veterans (minus replacements that came in) or in some cases, just the men that had been in the Company since its arrival in France. Wonder if that is the case here? I would love to hear from others about that. I have one image similar that is not Antrim marked that shows a company with only 27 men depicted! Kevin

I just noticed in looking at this again, the 49th company is depicted here, not the 45th as I previously thought. Don't know how I mis-read that. Still as gorgeous as before, just a different unit. Thanks Ken for posting. Kevin
