world war I nerd Posted January 1, 2019 Author Share #80 Posted January 1, 2019 Oops, I forgot to add this Passover postcard printed by the Jewish Welfare Board for the AEF. I should have placed it between the Valentine and Easter cards, as Passover begins and ends during the month of April. This particular postcard was for sale on a website, whose name I do not recall

world war I nerd Posted January 5, 2019 Author Share #86 Posted January 5, 2019 John and AustinO, thanks for looking and posting. After posting this French made postcard elsewhere on this forum, I realized that it was a combined 4th of July & Bastille Day postcard depicting an American "Sammy" & France's "Marianne" as partying rag-dolls. mikie Posted January 16, 2019 Share #90 Posted January 16, 2019 Still a little Christmas spirit hanging around here. The stores have been filled with Valentines stuff since before New Years. Was Valentines Day the subject of another million cards? Mikie
world war I nerd Posted January 16, 2019 Author Share #91 Posted January 16, 2019 Ha! Another million, more like two million! In all seriousness, so far, I've only come across one military Valentine's day greeting or postcard. After Christmas & New Year cards, Easter and 4th of July themed cards seem to be the most common holidays represented, in respect to WW I era holiday cards. world war I nerd Posted December 25, 2019 Author Share #92 Posted December 25, 2019 Wow! It's been a year already. During that time, I've amassed over thirty new WW I, AEF Christmas related cards & postcards. That's a lot. No doubt, there are still many designs out there waiting to be discovered. If you have a WW I, AEF related postcard or card, don't hesitate to post it here ... Merry Christmas. Unposted 1917 dated YMCA Christmas Greetings.
