Is this a phony patch? what is this?

Sorry I've been unable to wrap this up into a neat package with a picture of the patch in use or anything, but I did some googling and found some info, just didn't quite make the breakthrough.

 

OPM - Office of the Provost Marshal

 

UNSF - United Stated Naval Facility, Subic Bay, Luzon, Philippines

 

US Marines were attached to OPM at Subic Bay and did jungle patrols, and had a reaction unit. I have not been able to find anyone using the exact terms "jungle patrol branch" or "reaction team". However, I have found some things close:

 

 

"while he was stationed at the United States

Naval Base at Subic Bay from May 1971 to December 1971"

"participating in 132 jungle patrols and responding 193 times as a reaction unit."
