usmce4 Posted December 19, 2018 Share #1 Posted December 19, 2018 Nothing really exciting about this, just something I picked up this weekend that you don't find everyday. A nice sealed box of FA .45 Ball ammo vintage 1926. From 1911 to 1942 GI .45 ammo was packaged in 20 round boxes. Sometime in 1942 all varieties of .45 ammo except shot were changed to 50 round boxes. Art
m1ashooter Posted December 19, 2018 Share #2 Posted December 19, 2018 Interesting box. BullsEye is still used by reloaders today.
silverplate Posted December 21, 2018 Share #3 Posted December 21, 2018 Nice example. Getting harder to find in that condition.
Charlie Flick Posted December 21, 2018 Share #4 Posted December 21, 2018 Good looking box. You mentioned it was sealed. How did you determine that it was 1926 vintage? Regards, Charlie
usmce4 Posted December 21, 2018 Author Share #5 Posted December 21, 2018 Good looking box. You mentioned it was sealed. How did you determine that it was 1926 vintage? Regards, Charlie The dealer had four boxes. One was wide open with a few rounds missing, two had the corners pried open and this one survived without any nosy tire-kickers prying it open which is what the seller told me happened to the two with the pried open corners.
