redone Posted December 11, 2018 #1 Posted December 11, 2018 The jacket pictured is a 1963 dated USAF Field Jacket. My question is why my jacket and liner have paper tags? Others that I've seen had the black and yellow silk tags.
easterneagle87 Posted December 11, 2018 #2 Posted December 11, 2018 Your white ones are earlier. I've always found the white tags to be fabric. I believe they then transitioned to green tags. Some in the 1970's and very early 80's were yellow with black lettering. These tags I've seen on the AF sateen pants and shirts along with the last versions of the khaki pants and shirt.
Lee Ragan Posted December 11, 2018 #3 Posted December 11, 2018 My M65 Field Jacket that I got sometime in the late 60's while in the USAF has the white tag.
doyler Posted December 11, 2018 #4 Posted December 11, 2018 THe woven black and gold I believe pre-date the cloth printed versions.Same types that were used in the early flight jackets and parkas.
The Chief Posted September 9, 2023 #5 Posted September 9, 2023 Only yellow tags were the OG-507s cotton poly mix in Fatigues only.
