Cool. I will look for those. I did get an award for Racing for him. Looks like he raced cars all the way up until 1984 where he got 2nd place

Thanks! I am hoping all the stuff I left is still there. I feel dumb now that I did not buy it all. This is twice I bought part of a grouping but not all of it. I bought a big grouping for a Tank Commander but left a bunch behind once before. I just do not know anything about medals and uniforms so I assume its all fake . This stuff I figured was real because could see his name all over all his other stuff.

I did notice he was obsessed with being cold. He had a lot of books on the cold and its effects.

Yeah there were a bunch of the EGAs . I just grabbed a bag full. There were small bags with medals and buttons and such and boxes with larger medals. I just grabbed some random ones so I could research them since I dont really deal in this stuff.

Thats the exciting stuff!!! :)

Not sure on the parka linedoggie. It might not even be military but it was with all his other military stuff so I grab it since it was cheap. Looks like he wore it and worked on his car. Here is some more photos of it

I did notice he was obsessed with being cold. He had a lot of books on the cold and its effects.

Saddly that fact probably gives a deep psychological meaning to the group and connects the books to Chosin. From what I have learned about Chosin the cold was one of, if not the, biggest obstacles the Marines faced and it left deep phycological scars on some of them. One documentary I watched was heartbreaking, watching the veterans describe what they went through and it seems possible that it had a lasting impact on this individual.

Parka is WW2 army type.

He may have gotten it as surplus or possibly issued it.There is a thick liner that buttons into it as well.

If it matters he has written his name in his uniforms.

I dont really collect items like these except for the booklets. Would all of this need to stay together or could I sale/trade all the uniform/medals and keep the booklets? Do they matter for the grouping? Also does anyone know an approx. value or should I post that on the whats it worth board?

I am sorry to hijack your post but in addition to the dress blues I also got an officer cap and now I am wondering if the cap belonged to McAllister or Wolfe

I am also missing one the collar EGA which you probably bought. Wondering if you'd be willing to trade or sell it to me?
