A small group of items to an Army Diver from WW2. Otto Wallingford who hailed from Maine. He was involved in the clearing of Naha harbor. The badge is the only one like it I have seen. I assume this was worn on the pocket or possibly the sleeve. He was attached to the 1497th Engineer Port Construction and Repair Group

Thoughts and comments welcome.

I was the second bidder on that on eBay a while back, my phone timed out! Lol I've never seen one like it either.

Very Cool badge. I wonder if it is Japanese made?

I have wondered the same. It appears to be embroidered into officer grade uniform jacket material or something very similar. My question has been where on the uniform was this worn?

What is the size? I’m thinking it was worn on the pocket or attached to a hanger
