Lowered into the water, it could maneuver close to a hostile vessel and discharge its deadly missile, making syre of an effective hit on a vital." (NOTA BENE: The Imperial Japanese Navy used midget subs at Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941, three years after this article, coincidence or not?
