hunterman Posted November 25, 2018 Share #1 Posted November 25, 2018 I pulled this from a box of probably 100 unsorted knives. Best I can tell it's the No. 2 Navy Pilot's Survival Knife in Cole's Book III, with 6" parkerized blade and screw-on pommel. Not sure about the sheath. Comments appreciated. schmooser Posted November 25, 2018 Share #8 Posted November 25, 2018 Nice find! I posted my example late last night in the JPK fixed tread. Yours is in much better condition.
USARV72 Posted November 25, 2018 Share #9 Posted November 25, 2018 Good find, nice condition. Picked up a~1962 one at our last gun show. Early ones are getting harder to find. Others in collection are Vietnam dated.

hunterman Posted November 25, 2018 Author Share #11 Posted November 25, 2018 Does the sheath look like what you would expect with this vintage knife?
SKIPH Posted November 25, 2018 Share #12 Posted November 25, 2018 The sheath is correct, but the retainer snap looks repaired or replaced (2 rivets, 2 pieces). But it's a good one. SKIP
sactroop Posted November 25, 2018 Share #13 Posted November 25, 2018 Yep, nice one, even with the repair that sheaths a keeper too.
