Aloha Everyone,

 

Show 'em if you've got 'em........military patches, decals & memorabilia depicting characters from the funny pages and animated cartoons.

 

We have a great topic specifically on Snoopy here http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/225733-snoopy-at-war/ and a whole section on Disney at War but there are plenty more characters used by all of the branches on their unit patches from the comic strips, comic books and cartoon studios

Popeye the Sailor Man - The classic which first appeared in 1919 and has been updated through the subsequent decades Over the years, Popeye has also appeared in comic books, television cartoons, arcade and video games, hundreds of advertisements, and peripheral products (ranging from spinach to candy cigarettes), and the 1980 live-action film directed by Robert Altman, starring comedian Robin Williams as Popeye.

 
In an interview, Charles Schulz, creator of Peanuts, said "Popeye was a great favorite of mine...I think Popeye was a perfect comic strip, consistent in drawing and humor".

Great topic, I have dozens of cartoon related patches. Here's a couple with Yosemite Sam and the Tasmanian Devil. If you look close enough, you'll see they equipped Taz with a little extra down below...

Bill the Cat of training class 86-07 ENJJPT and Porky Pig from an inter-squadron competition in the 435 TFTS. The 435 trained future A-10 pilots in the AT-38B, hence the hog/pig tie in.
