teufelhunde.ret Posted December 9, 2008 Share #1 Posted December 9, 2008 Spotted this on Manions last week - and sadly forgot it ended yesterday. J.R. Gaunt emblems are quite desirable, esp with this type of hallmark in place. It is early 20's design / manufacture. This period of transition called for applied continents as seen in the design of the makers choice and the globe was prescribed within the directive to be "chased"... thus this emblem could be considered "transitional" by nature. The reverse hallmark is typical of those emblems made in England for sale by outfitters in the US, sold from the Gaunt New York location. The roller is fascinating to me - never seen one like this before - with a hallmark in place. Anyone seen this before on Gaunt roller emblems? The bended knee is not a tradition of our Corps.
