Named 4th Ranger Battalion Uniform Grouping- Ike and M42

Here is my recent woodwork find. Named to SGT Alfred J. Upton, E Co, 4th Rangers. He enlisted Jan 1943 and got out Oct 1945. He is a purple heart recipient. Included with the grouping was his Ike, M42 jump jacket and mountain pants.

M42 is complete and in great shape, minus a replacement of the main zipper which appears to be period done.

Very nice.

 

Dont see an U*P*T*O*N listed in the FSSF unit history.

 

Many of the 4th went to the Force due to the beating they took in Italy and went to other units as replacements.
