Can anyone tell me where to find info on a Captain W. G. Mills, HQ 122 Inf Regt 31st Inf Div

I have some of his gear and want to know more about him.

Captain Walter G. Mills adjutant of the old infantry Fifth Georgia who has been attending the musketry special course at the school of fire, Fort Sill, Okla. has returned to Camp Wheeler.

Old Fifth Georgia Vets Just Back From France

Four Atlanta officers formerly of the Old Fifth Georgia regiment have just returned to Camp Gordon from overseas where they saw active service against the Huns with the 83rd division of Ohio. Reading from left to right they are Captain Basil Stockbridge, Captain Walter. G. Mills, First Lieutenant William H. Parker, and Second Lieutenant John L. Becknell all of whom are widely known here. They trained with the Dixie division at Camp Wheeler and were assigned overseas to duty with the Ohio division which has just returned to Ohio from France.

Plans for celebration of the tenth anniversary of Armistice day are being formulated on an elaborate scale, Basil Stoekbridge, commander of Atlanta Post No. 1, American Legion, announced Wednesday in urging business house and individuals to arrange for displaying flags on Sunday, November 11. Featuring the exercises for the day, which are being sponsored by the local chapter of the American Legion in cooperation with other civic and patriotic organizations, will be a parade early in the afternoon, to be followed by formal ceremonies open to the public at Keith's Georgia theater. Lieutenant Colonel I. M. Stevens, of the United States army, will be marshal of the day, with Lieutenant Colonel Eugene Oberdorfer, Jr.. Georgia National guard, acting as chief of staff, and the following aides: Major Trammel Scott. Major J. G. C. Ploodworth, Captain Frank Maloney, Captain Roy LeCraw, Captain Frank Callaway, Captain Walter G. Mills, Captain Joseph R. Cooke and Captain James L. Harrison. A feature of the Armistice day exercises will be an address by Major Lamar Jeffers, congressman from the fourth Alabama district. Major Jeffers, who was wounded 11 times in the Argonne military maneuvers and who was awarded the distinguished service cross, is a popular figure and widely-known orator. He will be the principal speaker at the Georgia theater exercises, which are to begin at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon. The Armistice day parade will start at 2:30 o'clock at Mitchell and White-ball streets. It will move northward along Peachtree street and traverse the downtown district.
