Dien Bien Phu visit

Hello to all

I can maybe have a visit to North Vietnam in next february

I would like to visit Dien bien phu former battle field

I was told it changed a lot being now replace by mainly a city. Out of a rebuild former HQ, a monument and a small museum, i was told almost nothing survived from the battle

- Is there anyone here that went there ?

- I would like, full of hope , to obtain a dug out piece from the battlefield. I guess we are thousand with such a will. Is there any possibility, place where it could be find ?
