kyhistorian01 Posted October 8, 2018 Share #1 Posted October 8, 2018 I am hoping someone can tell me a little about this badge. It doesn't look US Made, is it a overseas made and what period is it? Thanks, Robert

TheMariner Posted October 8, 2018 Share #3 Posted October 8, 2018 I might be wrong but I believe I posted one at some point and I think it was attributed as a WW2 Era US Made Econ Lead badge! Basically it was like a cheaper alternative to the sterling examples most US firms made!
patches Posted October 8, 2018 Share #4 Posted October 8, 2018 Looks like Pot Metal, a wartime substitute, not sure, think these might of been sold at PXes. But the U.S. ones I seen, and got, I got at least two, have the standard U.S. pinback, which have a habit of snapping off due to the low grade soldering of them or whatever, to the backs of the badge. This attachment however in the OP, it might be German, Germans made Pot Metal insignia late war for their own boys, so perhaps they started making stuff for our guys post V-E Day in Pot Metal too.
