viking73 Posted October 5, 2018 Share #1 Posted October 5, 2018 Hi Gents, Can anyone here tell me what this patch is? I'm assuming U.S. Army Aviation as it looks like army wings but I'm not 100% sure. What does TAAC stand for? I know orange and black are the colors for the primary flight school patch but perhaps this is just a coincidence? Thanks in advance for your help. -Derek

Salvage Sailor Posted October 6, 2018 Share #4 Posted October 6, 2018 It looks like 'Army Air' (helicopter) from the 60's to me too I posted the TAAC link as a lead, (or coincidence) not as an ID

skir Posted October 6, 2018 Share #6 Posted October 6, 2018 There is an ID in an old ASMIC trading post, as I had the patch Years ago. Cannot recall which issue or the TAAC designation but is a 60-70 Era patch from the Army Transportation School from Ft. Eustis Virginia
gwb123 Posted October 7, 2018 Share #7 Posted October 7, 2018 I am thinking AAC is for Army Aviation Center, which is the old name for the training activities at Fort Rucker. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Army_Aviation_Center_of_Excellence It would explain the colors and the wing.
