Salvage Sailor Posted September 30, 2018 Share #10 Posted September 30, 2018 I'm curious about the 'A' patch in pic 3 Looks like these are all Zoomie patches and way beyond my purview
Randy Posted September 30, 2018 Share #11 Posted September 30, 2018 I have never confirmed an ID on that. It looks to be A Flight of Class 60D or 66D. They are all Zoomie related, no Anchor Clanker stuff in the bunch!
Wake1941 Posted September 30, 2018 Author Share #12 Posted September 30, 2018 Randy question of the 328th bomb, I see a bunch on eBay with the arc. Is this one earlier? Thanks again

Wake1941 Posted September 30, 2018 Author Share #18 Posted September 30, 2018 The weapons release is for Air Defense Command
gwb123 Posted September 30, 2018 Share #19 Posted September 30, 2018 I also saw it referred to as the 44th engineer battalion? That is correct. Looks like my information is out of date. Although considered a deployed unit in Korea, they were sent from there to Iraq in 2004, and from there to Ft. CARSON rather than returning to Korea. It was later inactivated. https://www.globalsecurity.org/military/agency/army/44eng.htm
Randy Posted September 30, 2018 Share #20 Posted September 30, 2018 Yes, the 413 MMS was part of ADC. I believe they were a unit that controlled the nuclear Genie rockets that would be released to arm Canadian F-101s during war. These rockets were maintained and controlled by USAF personnel and units in Canada. The weapons release is for Air Defense Command
