I brought my helmet (along with most of my basic issued items) home with me and still have them. But being the dinosaur I am, I can't figure out how to resize pictures for this site. It's really starting to aggravate me.

I seen this at the book shop this morning and it thought it was very clever

I have always enjoyed the covers of this publication

Here's another one of mine. Its a repainted ww2 front seam with 1965 dated cover, KW liner, and a LT bar on the front. No name unfortunately. It has a piece of glint tape on the back too

Just saw this post come up the other day. My lone Vietnam is a fairly late war example here. RS SB with a cover dated early 70s. Rust and tears fitting to the helmet, it’s tight too so I’ve never tried to take it off. Lighting makes it look a bit brighter than it is, definitely seen it’s time in the sun.

Just picked up this helmet set from a USMC veteran who served as a sergeant during Vietnam. It is front seam, fixed loop shell with original chin straps featuring brass hardware. The heat lot is 269A which dates it to mid-1942. The liner is post 1958 and was formerly owned by a Captain Orlando (not my guy). Interestingly, the sweatband and nape strap are both WW2 vintage. The cover is from 1964/65. Very interesting mix of parts!
