Help identify flight patch

This patch was said to have been removed from a flight jacket. The museum of aviation at Warner Robins could not identify it. Any ideas are helpful. Not in my possession but offered nearby for sale.

I could also be a T-33. Normally these types of flight patches are associated with pilot training units, but not always. The red tip tanks could be a clue, though many units did this. This one could go either way, though only PACAF based units went beyond A-D fighter wise. Training units used the whole alphabet it seems. This one looks US made Chenille.
